And let your mind wander to a warm safe place
Maybe somewhere from your childhood
Or a distant beach under azure skies
Let your breathing become calm and shallow
Feel the warmth spread from your fingers and toes
To the tip of your nose
Let all your worries and cares slip away

Now I'm back to reality
It'll all be the death of me
Where's the love and security?

I'm the first one to blink

Now it seems
Everyone's an expert on everything
Throwing out insults from behind a screen
Freedom of speech
Freedom to scream with evangelical insistence
Making your anonymous case from a distance
But I'm yet to see
Your humanity

This is our new reality
And your words cut like knives through me
Where's the justice and empathy?
